The pI calculator had some major issues since the last post that have hopefully been resolved now. I found that the program was not performing enough iterations if it "got lucky" with a close pI estimate. I obviously have this flaw of tending to quit early when an experiment works, thus the present issue. Though I continue to work on my attitude, the programs attitude has been 'adjusted'. The program is now at 5X recommended iteration, unless it hits a hole in 1.. and it will tell you.. and I would love to hear about it(barring essentially fictious pKa values!). Some data on phosphate pKa has been added in the notes section, though please keep in mind the solvent system you are working with when using these values. I have not located data pertinent to denaturing 2D Electrophoresis. This is still a project that should be considered in the 'beta' phase, and its certainly not SwissProt. With your continued surveillance, I am sure it might become useful. If you encounter any problems with the website.. if the program even looks at you funny.. please let me know and I will investigate.
